Corona treatment Remdesivir drugs are coming to the market this week. The announcement was made on May 3 by Dan O'Day, CEO of Gilead Sciences, a US company that manufactures Remdesivir, after receiving approval for the use of Remdesivir drugs in corona therapy. News from the New York Post.

On May 1, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the use of Remdesivir for the treatment of coronavirus. On May 3, Jillid Science chief executive Dan O'Day announced that they would launch the drug this week.

"We want to deliver the drug to corona patients this week," said Dan O'Day. As a first step, we are currently producing about 1.5 million vials of Remdesivir. All of this will be delivered to the government. Later the government will supply the whole country as per the urgent need. So far no drugs have been used to treat coronavirus. It is showing the light of hope as the first medicine. We hope that the government will deliver the drug to the areas in high demand on a priority basis.

The company had earlier announced a free 1.5 million drug vial grant. With those 150k vials tested in clinical and federal trials, medical services can be provided to one to 200k patients.

O'Day said the government would first determine which areas of the country were most at risk. The government will then provide these drugs to patients in the area.

A day earlier, on April 29, White House experts said that clinical trials had shown that 30 percent of patients were recovering faster with the use of Remdesivir. With the application of this medicine, the recovery time of the patient has come down from 15 days to 11 days.

Anthony S. Fauci, a top infectious disease specialist in the United States, said at the time about the drug that it was clear from clinical trials that remedial treatment was effective in recovering from corona.

No vaccine has been shown to be effective in preventing coronavirus infection, which started in December last year. However, some drugs, including Avigan from Japan, have been known to be effective in the treatment of Kovid-19 disease. These drugs are still at various stages of clinical trials. Remdesivir is going to be the first drug to come to the market after passing the trial.
