Russian doctors are jumping to death out of the window amid corona virus outbreak

The situation in Russia is getting worse. The country has the highest rate of Covid-19 infection this week. Vladimir Putin's country now has the highest number of corona patients in Europe, surpassing Italy, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. At this time in the country, some abnormalities have been noticed among the front line combat doctors in the battle of Corona. In the last two weeks, at least three doctors in the country have been seen jumping out of hospital windows. Two of them died. Another was hospitalized with serious injuries. And these incidents have raised questions about the working environment of doctors and health workers in Russian hospitals.

In all three cases, there is evidence of serious conflict between doctors and hospital authorities over coronavirus treatment. Some international media are persuading readers by describing it as a tragedy.

In conversations with friends and colleagues of the victims, medical staff there were working under unbearable stress. Victims have been forced to choose suicide for at least two reasons. Shulepov was admitted to the hospital on April 22 for treatment. On the same day, he and one of his colleagues, Alexander Kosyakin, posted a video online. There are allegations that Shulepov is being forced to work even after Corona is identified.

Kosyakin had previously posted on social media criticizing the hospital administration over the lack of safety equipment. He was also questioned by the police for spreading false news. In an interview with CNN, Kosyakin elaborated. ‘As far as I know, Shulepov is in the intensive care unit, his condition is serious. The last time I spoke to him was on April 30. We inquired about each other then. He was feeling well and was ready to be released from the hospital. But all of a sudden it happened. It is not clear why this happened. I don’t know the answers to many questions, ”he said.

Shulepov is the third health worker to jump out of a hospital window in the past two weeks. Earlier, the chief physician of the hospital in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, Elena Nepomniaschaya, jumped out of a window. He died on May 1 after being treated in the ICU for a week. Nepomniashaya also expressed frustration over the lack of safety equipment in the hospital.

On April 24, Natalia Lebedeva, the head of Star City's emergency medical service, jumped out of a hospital window and was seriously injured. He later died while undergoing treatment. Hospital authorities said Corona was being treated on suspicion.
